Hudson
United Soccer Club
Hudson United Soccer Club
(HUSC) is a non-profit travel
soccer program designed to give young soccer players an avenue to play
soccer
at a competitive level. HUSC is run by
volunteers from coaches to the president of the club.
HUSC has state certified trained coaches
and
uses professional coaching to develop the level of skills needed for
our teams
to compete at its highest level.
About
our Recreational Program
HUSC
recreational program is designed to give younger
players an introduction to soccer in a consistent manner to help
develop their
skills and more importantly to have fun while doing it.
The program is six weeks of skills and
games designed
for younger players to be comfortable while progressing their skills. The first three weeks will be one set of
skills and games where the last three will involve advanced skills.
Our
recreational program is designed around the small sided
game theory which is supported by US Youth Soccer.
Small sided games are designed to give
players more opportunity to handle the ball in game situations. The more touches the more comfortable players
become. The more comfortable a
player
is the better that player will develop.
Our games are 4v4 that is four players
vs. four players with no goal
keepers.
HUSC
recreational program is also designed to develop
coaching. Each team will have a parent
coach
and a HUSC coaching mentor (this can vary depending on team numbers). Parents are required to participate in a
training
session where they will go through the same training program as our
players. It
is our belief that you can’t coach what you have not experienced. Going through the training exercise will give
a coach more in site on how to train the players. On
game day the HUSC mentor will assist in
running the practices and coaching the game.
